ABOUT STEVE

Steve Sylvester is a lifelong resident of West Palm Beach, a dedicated healthcare professional, and a long-serving community leader. With a deep love for the city and a decades-long commitment to public service, Steve is running for City Commission in District 5 to raise—not just maintain—the quality of life for all residents.

Steve brings over 30 years of experience in healthcare and education, holding a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and serving as an Associate Professor at Palm Beach Atlantic University.

He has worked as a physical therapist, educator, paramedic, and small business owner. Whether treating patients, mentoring students, or serving in emergency rooms, Steve has always believed in listening first, leading with facts, and serving with integrity. In addition to his professional career, Steve has long been active in civic life. He currently serves on the City of West Palm Beach Watershed Committee and the Southend Neighborhood Association Board of Directors, and has a strong track record of community advocacy—from preserving South Flagler Drive to protecting heritage trees and expanding access to wellness resources for residents. He also served as President of the Rotary Club of Palm Beach and has supported numerous nonprofits through leadership roles and volunteer work.

Steve Sylvester is not a career politician—he’s a proven community advocate with the expertise, values, and heart to help lead West Palm Beach into its next chapter.
